Since moving to Seattle, I've been fortunate to work with so many great theatre companies to showcase their productions. My pre-production and production work with The 5th Avenue Theatre, Intiman Theatre, ACT Theatre, Seattle Musical Theatre, Balagan Theatre, and Renton Civic Theatre has been featured in numerous publications locally and nationally, as well as direct mail campaigns, print media, and online.
Pre-Production Photography
Pre-Production photos are used in show art and publicity. They're a perfect opportunity to bring in additional lighting and creative direction, like in these samples, to create images that really sell a show.
The 5th Avenue Theatre and ACT Theatre's Little Shop of Horrors. Composite by August Laguio.
Tony-winner Alice Ripley and Keaton Whittaker for Balagan Theatre's Carrie The Musical.
Louis Hobson and Anna Ostrem for Balagan Theatre's Les Miserables.
David Caldwell for Seattle Musical Theatre's Jesus Christ Superstar.
I'm happy to work full-time for The 5th Avenue Theatre as their Senior Graphic Designer and in-house photographer. The 5th is a fantastic historic theater in downtown Seattle which presents musicals year-round. Above is photography for The 5th's co-production with ACT Theatre of Little Shop of Horrors, but I also go beyond initial photography by designing and compositing original show art.
Below are samples of finished art for The 5th Avenue's productions of A Chorus Line and Rogers & Hammerstein's Carousel.
Production Photography
Photos taken during the run of a show are a great record of each production's artistic achievement, as well as a great sales tool. Below are samples from five great companies for whom I regularly provide this service. The 5th Avenue Theatre, Intiman Theatre, Seattle Musical Theatre, Balagan Theatre, and Renton Civic Theatre.
